Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to the end requires some of the same courage which a soldier needs.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
I broke my Serenity Prayer mug today. The handle came right off. I enjoyed using my mug for encouragement. Sure, it’s just a mug, but it’s also a difficulty that came across my path today. It set me back for a while. I mourned the loss of my mug and I pondered how to make it something I could still use. I’m thinking that it may morph into a pencil holder.
It’s hard for me to give myself a break. I have broken two precious pieces of glass in the last three days. I guess the more I break things the more I’m being shown that it’s time to relax. I need to have the courage to ease up on myself and give myself a mental rest. My path (course of action) will be there waiting for me.
Thanks for reading my posting on the lighter side. I hope you are doing well wherever you are. Walk with Courage.
